Plummer snr. replaces the disgraced Kevin Spacey, removed from the film even after principal photography was completed.

When John Paul Getty III (Plummer) is kidnapped, his mother Gail Harris (Williams) makes desperate attempts to get the boy’s grandfather to pay the ransom. While his grandfather, oilman John Paul Getty (Plummer), was reputed to be the richest man in the world, he initially refused to pay.
