Sep 15-22: Festival of local and international films

Raglan Film Festival opens Saturday, September 15 at 5pm with a fashion feature film, kai from the kaumatua barbeque and continues with bevy of local short and feature films.

Opening night Saturday, September 15 – food on sale and bar opens from 5pm, movie McQUEEN begins at 7pm.

Support the local kaumatua and head down to the Old School for choice kai for sale from 5pm $5 for seafood chowder or pumpkin soup and fry bread, $2.50 for delicious Top Cut sausage and bread, $2 for fry bread, butter and golden syrup.

Opening night and Thursday 20, 7pm feature film McQUEEN, is a rags-to-riches story about
legendary fashion designer Lee Alexander McQueen.

Screening on Sunday 16 at 4.30pm and Wednesday 19 at 7pm, New Zealand film Maui’s Hook follows Tama a young man fuelled by drugs, alcohol and violence on the anniversary of his father’s suicide.

New Zealand shorts- Puoro screens before Maui’s Hook, and Falling Up and Turtle-Bank
Hustler before McQUEEN.

The Raglan Film Festival- Raglan Arts Film Festival Awards Red Carpet Night will be on September 22, 2018 from 7:00 pm. This year it will be held in the Raglan Town Hall, 41 Bow Street
