Battle of the Buskers begins

At the Old School Arts Centre Rescheduled to Sunday, October 27th on Saturday, July 13 2019. 11am to 5pm. Entry by koha. Delicious kai from local foodies.

Warm up your vocals and dust off your costumes for the inaugural Battle of the Buskers at Raglan Old School Arts Centre, 5 Stewart Street, Raglan. Entries are now open for performers from across the Waikato to take to the stage to showcase their talents.

Organiser Deb King says the competition is a great opportunity for story-tellers, troubadours, dance groups or talented up-and-coming musicians to gain exposure in front of an appreciative audience of music lovers.

“We’d love to make this a hotly-contended competition and showcase some of our best buskers.”

The judges will be looking for best overall, most inventive/originality and most promising, as well as checking performers interaction with the audience, presentation, costume use of props, talent and confidence.

Remember this is a whānau-friendly event so performances must be rated general admission.
