Jul 24: Come along to the Clay Shed Cafe!
Saturday 24th July 10am – 3pm at the Community Clay Shed behind the Old School Art Centre, 5 Stewart St – all welcome.
Community clay art mural and Clay Shed Café Fundraiser Event@ Raglan Community Clay Shed
For one day only, come along to the Community Clay Shed and get sculpting and painting! This will be a fun packed day of art and creativity and everyone of all ages can join in. We are building a clay mural project to acknowledge all of our donors who have contributed funds to the building of the new Creative Space.
This event is a chance for all of the community to be involved. Pieces created so far cover around 1.5m2 of our available wall space. The finished mural will cover around 7.5m2 and will be in the form of tree with trunk, branches and individually created leaves, populated by creatures both realistic and fantastic. The finished mural will be hung on display inside the main wall on the upstairs creative space wall as a stunning showcase of what a community can achieve working together. Our target date for completion of the mural is the end of this year 2021.
On the day, you can also be nourished with the deliciousness by the Clay Café, which will open 10am – 3pm selling gorgeous homemade soup and bread, locally fresh brewed coffee, delicious baking, slices and fresh juice.
Saturday 24th July 10am – 3pm @ the Community Clay Shed behind the Old School Art Centre, 5 Stewart St – all welcome!
All funds raised from the Clay Shed Café and ‘Paint-a-leaf’ for the community art installation ($10 adults/$5 kids) will go towards completing the new Creative Space.
See you there!
