Set in the international world of Western classical music, TÁR centres on Lydia Tár, widely considered one of the greatest living composer-conductors and the very first female director of a major German orchestra.

Cate Blanchett delivers an award-winning performance in this drama from writer-director Todd Field (In the Bedroom) as an orchestra conductor, classical composer and EGOT Winner at the heights of her career. However, forces outside of her control slowly chip away at the façade of her own creation.
