Sep 8: LIVE & LOCAL at the Old School

Friday Sep 8 at Raglan Old School Arts Centre, 5 Stewart Street, Raglan. Upstairs in Whare Tapere.

Doors open at 7pm with Live & Local starting at 7.30pm. Koha entry. Bar open.

Our popular series of showcases for local performers continues this month.

It’s the night before the Raglan Ukulele Festival, so Live & Local is back and celebrating the ukulele. Nicky Keys is well known in Raglan for his keyboard skills; not so well-known is that he also plays the ukulele.

Singer Penni Feather performs songs from blues, pop and jazz. Folk duo WilkieMac bring the beautiful sound of the guilele (a guitar-ukulele hybrid).

Raglan’s newest ukulele group The Blukes make their stage debut and The Blister Sisters ukulele group will finish with a set of classic pop songs.

Live & Local is made possible with the support of Waikato District Creative Communities, Raglan Light & Sound and Mark Frost (Bayley’s Real Estate)
