Evolving over thirty-five years CBL has become a cult-like institution in Australia. The brainchild of renowned singer, songwriter and drummer Carl Pannuzzo, the band has enjoyed diverse membership over its lifespan but the current line up of Carl, Tim Neal and Shannon Bourne is arguably the band’s strongest ever, breathing fire and virtuosity into blues, classic soul and roots.

EVERYONE WELCOME The Karioi Quilters have been making high quality, natural fibre, artistic quilts for many years. Primarily a patchwork and quilting group, the members meet to share knowledge and skills and enjoy creating in good company. From 2023, we changed the name to Karioi Quilts and Crafts to open the group up to other crafters. Members can work on their own projects ranging from quilts, sewing projects and you can even bring your knitting, as long as it’s not a messy craft anything goes. Motivated by Kiana’s first North Atlantic crossing in 2019, where she witnessed a plastic-littered ocean, Mara Noka and Kiana, joined by filmmaker Alizé Jireh and environmentalist Lærke Heilmann, set off across the North Atlantic again in 2022 to follow plastic pollution on its ride to Europe via the Gulf Stream. This project is led by a group of women and realized through a voyage across the North Atlantic on Mara Noka, a 50-year-old wooden catamaran. Motivated by Kiana’s first North Atlantic crossing in 2019, where she witnessed a plastic-littered ocean, Mara Noka and Kiana, joined by filmmaker Alizé Jireh and environmentalist Lærke Heilmann, set off across the North Atlantic again in 2022 to follow plastic pollution on its ride to Europe via the Gulf Stream.
