Our popular series of showcases for local performers continues this month with Moongoose, SoulTy and Short Notes.

Moongoose (pictured) folk duo Holly Dove and Britta Hamill weave together songs of magic and mystery with great harmonies.

The Short Notes, Chris Watson and Odhran Devlin, create unique arrangements of traditional and contemporary Celtic music.

Teresa Michels performs as SoulTy, sprinkling Eastern influences with elements of RnB, funk, soul and electronic production.

The Karioi Quilters have been making high quality, natural fibre, artistic quilts for many years. Primarily a patchwork and quilting group, the members meet to share knowledge and skills and enjoy creating in good company. From 2023, we changed the name to Karioi Quilts and Crafts to open the group up to other crafters. Members can work on their own projects ranging from quilts, sewing projects and you can even bring your knitting, as long as it’s not a messy craft anything goes. New members are always welcome to come along to work on their own projects and learn techniques from a group of very creative craftspeople. The Karioi Quilters have been making high quality, natural fibre, artistic quilts for many years. Primarily a patchwork and quilting group, the members meet to share knowledge and skills and enjoy creating in good company. From 2023, we changed the name to Karioi Quilts and Crafts to open the group up to other crafters. Members can work on their own projects ranging from quilts, sewing projects and you can even bring your knitting, as long as it’s not a messy craft anything goes. New members are always welcome to come along to work on their own projects and learn techniques from a group of very creative craftspeople.
