Three fabulous femmes - Laure Calamy, Olivia Côte and Kristin Scott Thomas - star in the wildly entertaining new comedy from writer/director Marc Fitoussi (Folies Bergère, Call My Agent!) about estranged childhood friends who tentatively reunite for a trip to the Greek Islands.
NZ LISTENER Sarah Watt, 5/5 Stars "A fresh French take on a familiar set-up of older woman off on a dream holiday Thoughtfully scripted, well-acted and fun French coming-of-middle-age film for femmes."
LE PARISIEN, 4/5 Stars "Wonderful! There is a charm to this bittersweet comedy of two forty-somethings who seek to reinvent their lives. At the end, we are happy and a little sad like coming back from a trip, when everything did not go exactly as planned, but we had some wonderful encounters.
Catherine Balle "
Recently divorced, and watching helplessly as her only son leaves home, Blandine (Côte) is struggling to find her footing again. So when her former best friend Magalie (a scene-stealing Calamy), loud and fearless, suddenly resurfaces, she allows herself to be spontaneous for a change... The two will take the trip they always dreamed of as teenagers, to Amorgos, the amazing location where Luc Besson's The Big Blue was shot.
But as they head off towards their destination, it's soon apparent that Magalie's very different approach to holidaying - and to life - could lead Blandine to her breaking point...and beyond!
TWO TICKETS TO GREECE is an out-and-out crowd-pleaser, a breezily delightful tale of female camaraderie, stoked by laughter, tears and, of course, great scenery.
Director: Marc Fitoussi
Cast: Laure Calamy, Olivia Côte, Kristin Scott Thomas

The CHOSEN season 4 is getting a theatrical run when it arrives in February 2024. Audiences can expect an emotionally heavy season as the plot centers on the final weeks and months of Jesus's life, including the death of John the Baptist and Judas's betrayal.
Clashing kingdoms. Rival rulers. The enemies of Jesus close in while His followers struggle to keep up, leaving him to carry the burden alone. Threatened by the reality of Jesus’ growing influence, religious leaders do the unthinkable—ally with their Roman oppressors. As the seeds of betrayal are planted and opposition to Jesus’ message turns violent, he’s left with no alternative but demand his followers RISE UP.
The cast, including Jonathan Roumie as Jesus and Shara Isaac as Simon Peter, will largely remain the same, with other familiar characters returning as well.
The CHOSEN season 4 will continue Dallas Jenkins’s highly successful modern imagining of the life of Jesus Christ, and the 2024 release date for the return of Jonathan Roumie’s praised portrayal will once again be in theaters. The Chosen first debuted in 2017 and quickly gained attention beyond its core Faith-based viewership. The show has been incredibly well received by both critics and general audiences, swelling in viewership before its popularity exploded when it arrived on Peacock in 2021.
The Chosen season 4 will have a theatrical run before becoming available for streaming or being broadcast (presumably on The CW). The first episodes of The Chosen season 4 will arrive on February 1, with the remaining 5 released biweekly throughout the rest of the month.
The cast of The Chosen season 4 is expected to remain more-or-less unchanged from the first three seasons. Jonathan Roumie (Jesus Revolution) will once again be portraying Jesus Christ, with Shara Isaac (Madam Secretary) back as lead disciple Simon Peter. Mary Magdalene will of course be played once more by Elizabeth Tabish (The Shift).
All three have received praise for their performances in The Chosen, with each being noted for making the Biblical figures relatable (especially Roumie in the lead as Jesus).

The true underdog story of how Dave Fishwick, a working class man and self-made millionaire, fought to set up a community bank so that he could help the local businesses of Burnley not only survive, but thrive. In his bid to help his beloved community, he has to take on the elitist financial institutions of London and fight to receive the first, new banking license to be issued in over 150 years.
Jen Shieff, Rotorua Post. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED "It's a David-and-Goliath story, in which snooty Oxford-educated bankers get their comeuppance."
'Bank of Dave' tells the story of how a working class Burnley man and self-made millionaire fought to set up a community bank. Dave Fishwick (Rory Kinnear) sells vans in Burnley, Lancashire. Once the world's most productive and profitable mill town, Burnley is now one of the most deprived and neglected towns in the UK. Dave, however, through a combination of hustle and hard work, has done well for himself -- so well that in the wake of the last financial crisis he started lending money at reduced rates to his customers and local businesses. When some of those businesses start making money they ask Dave to reinvest it for them. This gives Dave an idea. Why not set up a tiny local bank that uses local money to fund local enterprise? He will call it: The Bank of Dave. The elite, London based financial authorities however, haven't granted a new bank license for over 150 years and they're not keen to grant one to a van salesmen from Burnley. Dave must enlist the help of London lawyer, Hugh (Joel Fry), junior doctor Alexandra (Phoebe Dynevor) and some local rock legends (Def Leppard) to help fight the good cause.

The true underdog story of how Dave Fishwick, a working class man and self-made millionaire, fought to set up a community bank so that he could help the local businesses of Burnley not only survive, but thrive. In his bid to help his beloved community, he has to take on the elitist financial institutions of London and fight to receive the first, new banking license to be issued in over 100 years.
